Our faculty members, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yunus SANTUR and Assist. Prof. Dr. Mahmut KAYA, attended the Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain Conference, organized by the T3 Foundation, the Turkish Informatics Association (Elazığ Branch), and student clubs at the Elazığ Atatürk Stadium Youth Office.The opening speech was delivered by Fırat University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet YILMAZ, who emphasized how the event boosted student motivation and highlighted the importance of staying open to technological innovations. Engineering Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Ebru AKPINAR acknowledged Fırat University’s strong foundation in engineering and its achievements through collaborations, expressing gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed to the organization of the event. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yunus SANTUR, who is also the President of the Turkish Informatics Association Elazığ Branch, provided insights into artificial intelligence and its applications. Assist. Prof. Dr. Mahmut KAYA discussed the past, present, and future of artificial intelligence.

Additionally, notable contributions came from: Prof. Dr. Murat KARABATAK, Head of the IT Department and a faculty member of the Software Engineering Department at the Technology Faculty, who gave a presentation on data science. Assist. Prof. Dr. Murat AYDOĞAN, who delivered a presentation on large language models and natural language processing. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muharrem Tuncay GENÇOĞLU, a faculty member of the Technical Sciences Vocational School, who evaluated the use of blockchain technology in defense. The conference also featured award-winning competitions and interactive q&a sessions, creating an engaging and educational platform for all participants.
