Career Planning and Development Committee

Purpose

The Career Planning and Development Committee works to guide students in taking conscious, planned, and effective steps toward their post-graduation career goals, to enhance their awareness of industry expectations, and to support their career development processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

Creating Career Awareness:

To organize information sessions, seminars, and panels that help students become aware of career paths that align with their interests and abilities.

Tracking Internship and Job Opportunities:

To announce relevant internship and job opportunities, establish communication with employers, and encourage the active use of platforms such as Kariyer Kapısı (Career Gateway).

CV Preparation and Interview Simulations:

To conduct workshops on résumé writing, cover letters, and interview techniques to prepare students for job application processes.

Alumni Engagement and Communication:

To maintain contact with graduates, motivate current students through alumni success stories, and organize events where alumni can share their experiences.

Collaboration with Industry Representatives:

To establish partnerships with public institutions, private sector organizations, and NGOs that can contribute to students’ career development.

Referral to Career Counseling:

To promote the effective use of university career center resources and refer students to individual counseling when needed.

Activity and Project Development:

To plan and carry out activities such as career days, sectoral introduction events, field visits, and mentoring projects.
