Purpose:
The Bologna Coordination Office coordinates the updating of course descriptions, program outcomes, qualifications, and credit systems to ensure that the department's academic program becomes transparent, comparable, and recognizable in alignment with the European Higher Education Area. It also contributes to the quality assurance processes.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
Determination of Program Qualifications:
To develop and update the department’s educational objectives and program outcomes in accordance with the Turkish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (TQFHE) and the principles of the Bologna Process.
Preparation of Course Information Packages (Course Description Forms):
To prepare, review, and update course description forms for all courses, including ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits, learning outcomes, course content, assessment methods, and teaching-learning strategies.
Ensuring ECTS Compliance:
To ensure the calculation of ECTS credit values based on student workload and to monitor their balanced distribution throughout the curriculum.
Integration with Information Systems and Website:
To ensure the complete and up-to-date integration of Bologna components into the university's student information system (SIS) and the department’s website.
Contribution to the Quality Assurance Process:
To support continuous improvement processes by considering data such as student surveys, stakeholder feedback, and performance indicators.
Coordination and Reporting:
To collaborate with the university’s Bologna Coordination Office, share regular data, and prepare update and monitoring reports.
Promotion and Information:
To organize informational meetings for academic staff on topics such as the Bologna Process, ECTS, and TQFHE, and to provide necessary guidance.
