The Preliminary Evaluation Committee for Academic Incentives is responsible for conducting an initial review of faculty members’ applications for academic incentive payments in accordance with relevant regulations and legislation, and for determining their eligibility before submission to the university’s main incentive committee.
Reviewing Application Files:
To examine the supporting documents, scoring tables, and other materials submitted by faculty applicants to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Compliance with Regulations:
To verify that applications comply with the procedures and principles outlined in the “Academic Incentive Payment Regulation.”
Classification of Activity Types:
To categorize activities such as publications, projects, patents, presentations, and consultancy services according to the categories defined in the regulation.
Scoring and Preliminary Assessment:
To evaluate each activity based on the scoring criteria, and forward approved applications to the upper committee for final approval.
Detection of Missing or Questionable Items:
To request additional documents or clarification from applicants in case of missing, irregular, or questionable submissions, and to reassess the application if necessary.
Confidentiality and Impartiality:
To ensure an impartial, fair, and confidential evaluation process in line with ethical principles.
Reporting to the Upper Committee:
To submit the preliminary assessment results and justifications to the university’s incentive committee through an official report.
