Purpose:
The Farabi Coordination Office operates with the aim of organizing the academic exchange processes and ensuring academic compatibility for students and academic staff of the department within the scope of the Farabi Exchange Program, which is managed by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in Turkey. The program facilitates education and teaching opportunities at other universities across the country.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
Program Promotion and Advising:
To inform students and academic staff about the Farabi Exchange Program and provide advisory services regarding application, placement, and admission processes.
Monitoring Application Processes:
To collect application documents from students who wish to benefit from the program and support the evaluation process based on available quotas and selection criteria.
Preparation of Learning Protocols:
To ensure the courses that students will take at the host university are compatible with the department’s curriculum and to guide the preparation and approval process of the learning protocol.
Course Equivalency and Adaptation Procedures:
To evaluate the equivalency of courses taken by the student at the host institution and ensure accurate and timely execution of course adaptation procedures upon return.
Support for Incoming Students:
To provide academic advising for incoming Farabi students in the department, assist in orientation processes, and guide them in course selection.
Administrative Procedures:
To coordinate the necessary correspondence and documents (such as protocols, transcripts, participation certificates, etc.) in collaboration with the Farabi Institutional Coordination Office and related administrative units.
Events and Information Activities:
To increase the visibility of the Farabi Program by organizing promotional meetings, poster/brochure campaigns, and informational presentations.
