Purpose:
The Erasmus Coordination Office is responsible for ensuring that students and academic staff of the department benefit effectively from the opportunities offered by the European Union’s Erasmus+ exchange program, such as studying, teaching, and internships abroad. It also coordinates the necessary information, guidance, and academic procedures throughout the program process.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
Information and Guidance:
To inform students and academic staff about the Erasmus program and provide guidance on application processes, rights, responsibilities, and selection criteria.
Student Mobility Process:
To receive applications from students who will go abroad through Erasmus, support the evaluation process, match students with partner universities, and ensure the follow-up of required documents.
Academic Equivalency and Learning Agreements:
To ensure that the courses students will take abroad are compatible with the departmental curriculum, and to manage the preparation and approval processes of Learning Agreements.
Incoming Student Procedures:
To support the reception of foreign students studying in the department under Erasmus, organize their academic advising, and assist with orientation processes.
Erasmus Agreements:
To contribute to the establishment of new Erasmus bilateral agreements with foreign universities and monitor the sustainability of existing agreements.
Documentation and Reporting:
To report activities to relevant university units and manage the processes of issuing participation certificates and transferring grades.
Outreach and Promotion:
To organize promotional events, seminars, and information meetings in order to disseminate Erasmus opportunities to a wider student audience.
