Purpose:
The ODEK-I Unit Coordination Office is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of common compulsory courses (such as Atatürk’s Principles and History of Reforms, Turkish Language, and Foreign Language) offered university-wide for students in the department. It oversees the coordination of course content, instructors, and exam and evaluation processes.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
Monitoring Common Courses:
To ensure that the common courses conducted by the university's ODEK Coordination Office are delivered to department students in a timely, organized, and appropriate manner.
Student Information:
To announce and provide guidance regarding registration, exams, classrooms, and instructor details related to the common courses.
Assessment and Evaluation Process:
To provide necessary announcements and monitor the process regarding exam dates, exam rooms, and grade entries for common courses.
Communication and Coordination:
To facilitate information flow between the instructors of common courses, the department administration, and the university’s ODEK Coordination Office.
Course Content and Material Monitoring:
To oversee the implementation of course content in line with the curriculum and ODEK standards, and report any deficiencies if present.
Contribution to Problem Solving:
To identify academic or administrative issues related to common courses, report them to relevant units, and support the resolution process.
