The Student Information System Automation Committee operates to ensure that student-related processes carried out within the University’s Student Information System (SIS) are accurate, complete, and timely. It also coordinates data flow based on automation between academic and administrative units.
Monitoring Data Entry:
To ensure the accurate entry of information such as student grades, course definitions, course contents, and advisor assignments into the system, and to regularly check these entries.
Tracking System Updates:
To follow software updates, new modules, or changes in user interfaces within the university’s information system and inform faculty members accordingly.
Ensuring Compliance with Academic Calendar:
To coordinate registration, course selection, advisor approval, exams, and grade entry processes in line with the academic calendar.
Providing Training and Support:
To organize information sessions and training activities for faculty members and students to support the effective use of the Student Information System.
Supporting Advising Processes:
To guide advisors in managing student registration and approval processes more effectively through the system.
Reporting System Issues:
To report technical problems or user feedback related to the automation system to the relevant IT units and to follow up on resolution processes.
Reporting and Documentation:
To ensure accurate reporting of data retrieved from the system and prepare outputs for use in related administrative processes.
Data Security and Access Control:
To ensure system security by managing user authorizations and maintaining confidentiality of personal data.
