Purpose:
The Mevlana Coordination Office operates to manage the necessary academic and administrative processes at the departmental level within the scope of the Mevlana Exchange Program, which promotes the exchange of students and academic staff between Turkish and international higher education institutions. Its mission is to promote exchange opportunities and support participants throughout the program.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
Program Promotion and Advising:
To inform students and academic staff about the Mevlana Exchange Program and provide guidance on application requirements, processes, and participants’ rights.
Application and Selection Process:
To collect application files from students and academic staff applying to the program, ensure the submission of all required documents, and coordinate the selection process on behalf of the department.
Ensuring Academic Compatibility:
To evaluate the compatibility of the courses that outgoing students will take with the department curriculum and to manage the preparation and approval processes of the learning protocols.
Procedures for Incoming Students:
To manage academic advising for foreign students studying in the department under the Mevlana Program, support their course selection, and ensure academic alignment.
Bilateral Protocols and Institutional Collaborations:
To contribute to the establishment of new Mevlana exchange protocols with international universities and monitor the continuity of existing agreements.
Monitoring Administrative and Academic Processes:
To ensure that all documents, correspondence, and reports are managed in a timely and accurate manner in collaboration with the Mevlana Institutional Coordination Office.
Supporting Cultural and Academic Integration:
To organize informational and promotional activities to facilitate the cultural and academic integration of incoming students and academic staff into the department.
